Town Hall Fountain, Music Alley and Gas Station Park | Bridgewater, MA

The Bridgewater Improvement Association installed a fountain in the 1970’s, across from the Town Common, which had grown into disrepair. A series of concept studies explored the feasibility of a variety of new fountains, from a splash pad spray park to a historical three-tiered water feature. The new Academy Plaza enhances the Building’s entry and establishes a connection to the renovated fountain. Perimeter plantings soften the street and walkway edges.

Music Alley converted an abandoned weed-infected space between the former Town Hall and commercial building into an arts and dining space for weekly free performances.

A block further from both the fountain and Alley is a dilapidated gas station that will be adapted and reused as a public park later 2026.
